B2B products are complex. I help make them simple and elegant for your customers. How? Through 15 years of experience, I’ve learned to focus on the user, have an eye for good visual design and iterate quickly.

Move things forward. My goal as a designer is to keep the conversation moving forward, collaborating with clients and fellow designers to create a product that’s constantly evolving to solve your complex problems.

Still want to know more? A designer helps shape how users view your business. You should ask them questions and expect answers!

What kind of projects do you work on?
I handle UI and UX design for B2B products, such as SaaS and PaaS, presented to users as mobile and/or web applications.

Can you do other design work?
I’m fortunate, at this point in my career, that I can sustain myself by specializing solely on B2B products. But thank you for your interest!

Do you work with agencies?
Absolutely. Working with acclaimed agencies (on projects for companies like IBM and Tradestation) is a great opportunity to grow as a designer while completing major projects.

What is a typical project length?
At this point in my career, the average project lasts somewhere between three and six months, but I’m open to longer commitments. Let’s chat.

What's your design process look like?
I’m a big believer in iteration, presenting an evolving version of the product to all stakeholders for them to provide live feedback. All of my work is based on user research, of course.

I have some specific questions...
No problem! If you want to discuss some more granular topics regarding design for your business or industry, shoot me an email at brian@brianaugsburger.com.

About me. I live with my family in Hudson, Ohio — a historic town outside Cleveland. Fatherhood has taught me that even when projects throw a wrench at you (like a crayon drawing on the wall you painted a few weeks ago), a good designer works around hurdles and loves his work at the end of the day.

“It was fantastic to work together with Brian at IBM, who is an exceptional designer. Brian is an organized and user-oriented designer. Brian showed a high level of leadership, design, problem solving technical skills and was a valuable contributor to our teams and products. No matter how complex the problem is, he will always come up with brilliant, elegant, user-driven, and viable solutions. He is a trustworthy professional and I will always hold him in the highest esteem.”

“When working with designers, I tend to see two types. One that has excellent visual design skills but proves to be challenging to work with. They are aware of their “price on the market,” so they think their attitude is warranted. The other type has a much better vibe, but their craft is not as refined. I prefer this type as you can teach skills but not personality.
With Brian however, you don’t have to choose. You get the craftmanship and the positive -and challenging when needed- attitude. After 20+ years in the industry, I count Brian to the group of ~ ten designers I place in that unicorn mix. I’d recommend Brian to everyone, but I want to keep him to myself! ”

“I had the pleasure of working with Brian for 11 consecutive weeks, where he conducted competitor research and benchmarking, followed by wireframing, interface design and prototyping for a fintech client. Brian proved to be a fantastic team player, problem-solver and interface designer. What I particularly liked about working with Brian was his can-do attitude, his smart ideas and drive to iterate and finesse to reach the best possible solution. In addition to being a highly skilled designer, he is empathetic, diplomatic, conscientious and a dream to work with. I hope I get the opportunity to collaborate with him again soon.”

Satisfied clients. The pedigree of my clients tells the story well enough...but I also don’t mind when they say nice things about me.
